Dukascopy: From instant messenger to instant payments

July 30, 2015

Dukascopy Bank SA is proud to present a new group member – Dukascopy Payments SIA, EU licensed subsidiary specialized in mobile instant payments. Dukascopy Payments SIA is 100% owned by Dukascopy Bank SA. The company’s services are based on Dukascopy Connect mobile communicator – a highly secure messenger, which encrypts all the messages and pictures, allows video and voice calls. The technology is powered by Dukascopy Bank SA and ensures security standards of the Swiss bank.

The idea of mobile money transfers was inspired by enclosure of picture or file to a chat message. In the same manner Dukascopy Connect users are able to attach money to any message and to send it to other person across the globe. The phone number of a beneficiary becomes a key payment attribute. New service allows to top up eWallet account from credit cards, and to make money transfer from eWallet account to any bank account of the client. Dukascopy Payments will provide 24/7 client support as well as guarantee favourable currency exchange rates, prepaid card issue and later on will offer merchant account services on competitive terms. Accounts will be opened electronically and instantly on the basis of remote client identification (by providing selfies with ID etc).

The license, granted on July 29, 2015, allows emission of electronic money and payments execution. Operations are planned to be launched in course of September 2015. The services will be proposed to all clients of the group and numerous white label partners.

Dukascopy Connect is downloadable on App Store and Google play, payment and communicator services are also available in the web version and as a stand-alone application for Windows, Mac and Linux. For more information visit Dukascopy Payments web page at https://pay.dukascopy.com/
